I want a boyfriend as nice & awesome as Tyler Kyte.
California trip is in like 6 days (yaaaayyy!!) so obviously I’ve started to googlemap everything hahaha! Here’s what it should look like:
-Day 1: Arrival in Los Angeles at 11.50 am. Maybe a city tour in the PM once I’m checked in?
-Day 2: Santa Monica Pier in the morning. Then Grammy Museum & shopping at Wallmart/Macy’s in the afternoon.
-Day 3: Universal Studios.
-Day 4: Not sure yet as it all depends on when I decide to head to San Diego.
-Day 5: ????
-Day 6: ????
-Day 7: Friday will probably mean shopping as it’ll be my last day in America and the MAH concert in the evening.
-Day 8: Leaving America at 3.53pm (depression start haha).
Still lots of activities to find especially in SD. This should be so much fun!!

What the hell have we been waiting for?
I’ve been looking forward to this 2011 recap which is something that had never happened before. Maybe because I know that for once I’ve done some things right? Or since last year was the only year I actually wrote down resolutions, right now is the only time I can actually look back and judge myself clearly…
List of last year’s resolutions:
-get in shape/eat heathy = starting August, I’ve never been more on track food wise (except for the last two weeks but apparently Xmas/NYE does that to you!). i have also been to the gym way more than i used to. this been said, to be continued and improved.
-get my driver licence and my Science of Education bachelor = got one out of the two! i gotta say that being able to drive a car is kinda awesome and offer new possibilities that are a definite joy to consider.
-meet Taylor Swift = done! :) i still can’t really believe that it actually happened and even if our picture is awful (her eyes are closed) i feel blessed to think even this happened.
-put money aside for my year in the US = i’m not going to spend a year in the US anymore but i did put money aside and i’m gonna be going to California for a week at the end of January which is without a doubt the best way to start a year!
-learn how to play and sing ALL of Taylor Swift’s songs (plus others) = i learnt Mine so far so it’s a pretty lame score for a whole year but i need to buy a new guitare and get back to it big time.
-practice song writting = i only wrote one song worth of lyrics. i’ve got lots of ideas written all over my books. i guess i need to focus a bit more, work a lot more and above all belive i can do this ‘cause it’s not going to happen otherwise.
-learn Spanish = i’m taking Spanish classes now! My level is horrifing but at least i’m trying haha
-read/watch loads of smart stuff = i am ashamed to say that i haven’t read a single book this year.
- keep jessebarrerafans.com and theauditionfrance.com updated = i wish i was doing a better job at this! jb’s fansite looks better and is more consistent now though!
-get a tattoo = still hasn’t happened (YET)!
-find a job for the summer = i did! and it was painful but i’m happy i got to work in a bank and the people there were amazing and got me a gift when i left (aww!).
-organise and tidy my room completely = still a work in progress! it’s on the way to be completed sometime soon! i need to focus on that before California!
-do some voluntary work = i wish i had done more than just helping kids do their homework for free. i need to figure out a way to do more for others!
-stop whinning and be awesome instead = it’s starting to work even if right now is not a good example as i’ve been feeling sorry for myself for a few days haha I’m taking care of it!!
-work on my personnal issues = work in progress.
ALL IN ALL I’ve been pretty good at some stuff but thinking about it I think that the main things still need major improvements!!
Main 2012 resolutions:
-Heathy food and loads of sport.
- Get into Birmingham or Cumbria University to pass my PGCE next year + get the first part of my Master.
-Work on myself.
-Keep on doing/finishing the list of things I wrote up there :)
The Ryan O’Reilly Band
Out of all the great music I’ve been lucky to discover this past year, this group of dudes is by far my favorite. Their music is both heartbreaking, swinging and simply beautiful.
Exactly a year ago I was learning about Tyler Kyte touring Europe with this band I’d never heard of and I was ecstatic because I’ve been a huge fan of his for about 6/7 years.
If someone had told me back when I was still in high school all the great things that would be happening a few years later I would have probably never believed any of it.
To the guys, thank you for making these last few days of 2011 days I’d look back with a smile on my face as it was not an easy win.
This is actually happening. I’m booking my plane tickets and ticket to the show today. Excited doesn’t even begin to cover it. California, here I come!!
